FREE Virtual Community Childbirth Education for Doulas

Empower Yourself with Comprehensive Childbirth Knowledge

Thank you for your interest in our Free Virtual Community Childbirth Education for Doulas, a 4-part series that is DONA-approved for the "Intro to Childbirth for Doulas" requirement.

This 14-hr online, comprehensive, interactive, workshop is available to birth professionals and pregnant people all over the globe. This workshop is FREE and will include breaks.

Knowledge Empowers

Childbirth education equips birth professionals and doulas with essential

knowledge about the labor and delivery process, easing anxiety and fear surrounding

childbirth. Understanding the stages of labor, pain management techniques, and

potential complications empowers doulas to support expecting parents to make informed decisions and actively participate in their birthing experience. This knowledge promotes confidence, reduces stress, and fosters a sense of control during labor and delivery

Partner Involvement

Childbirth education aids doulas in encouraging the active involvement of partners or support persons in the birthing process. By attending classes together, partners gain insight into their roles during labor, learn how to provide effective support and acquire valuable skills to assist the birthing parent. This collaborative approach strengthens the bond between partners, enhances communication, and fosters a sense of teamwork, creating a supportive environment conducive to a positive birthing experience.

Preparation for Unexpected Situations

Childbirth education prepares doulas to help pregnant families with various scenarios that may arise during labor and delivery, including medical interventions or emergencies. By learning about common procedures, potential complications, and available options, doulas can work with expecting parents to develop a birth plan that aligns with their preferences and values while remaining flexible to accommodate unexpected circumstances. This preparation promotes resilience, adaptability, and informed decision-making, ensuring that pregnant families feel equipped to navigate any challenges they may encounter during childbirth.
